Leashes, etc.
Our responsibilities
- Naked in the dog run. We remove all gear (leashes, harnesses, collars) before a dog enters the dog run. This is because dogs play with their mouths and paws, and we don't want anyone accidentally getting snagged on a collar and injuring themself or another dog.
- Harnesses. We instruct our staff to always put on your dog’s harness according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Collars. We tighten collars so that two fingers fit snugly between the collar and your dog. We know some parents think that this might be too tight, but this is for the safety of the dogs.
Your responsibilities
- Double-check at check-out. When we return your dog at check-out, take a moment to look over their gear -- if we've made a mistake, please let us know in the moment, so we can fix it.
- Custom. If you have a custom way to put on or adjust your dog’s harness or collar, you are, of course, welcome to adjust it once we bring your dog out.
- Booties in the winter. If your dog wears booties in rainy/cold weather, we can hold onto those for you during the day. We'll hand them back at check-out so you can put them on. (This will expedite the check-out process on our end.)
