Billing
Our responsibilities
- On account. We’re happy to keep charges on account to save you the hassle of paying every time you come. You can view your account activity and transactions on the member website.
- The Happy Dogs refund-for-credit guarantee. You can cancel your subscription or punchcard at any time, for any reason. Just let us know by the expiration date and we'll credit you the full original cost of the subscription month or punchcard and then retroactively charge you for any visits and services used as if you never had the subscription or punchcard. Any daycare visits will be charged at the single day rate. Any perks used will be charged as if you didn't have the perk. The leftover credit (if any) will remain on your Happy Dogs account and will be automatically used for future charges.
Your responsibilities
- Know our packages. We rely on parents to make the choice on which package to purchase as we don’t always know your schedules. Make sure to be aware of the restrictions of each package. We’re always happy to explain, so ask us any questions you have about our packages before you make your choice.
- Credit card on file. You must keep an up-to-date credit card with valid billing information on account at all times. If your card is declined and we are unable to settle your account after we have emailed or called you three times, we will charge you $20 per month penalty until the account is settled. You can change credit cards, payment methods, etc., on the member website.
- Early check in fee. To accommodate members whose days start early, at some locations we offer early check ins (between 7am-8am) for $5. This fee is discounted to $0 (i.e. free) for unlimited monthly subscribers, to $2 for other monthly subscribers, and to $3 for punchcard users.
- Assume responsibility for vet bill. In the event that your dog gets injured on-site, you will cover the cost of any vet bills if needed. In some cases where there is clear fault, we'll ask the parents of the dog who inflicted the injury to cover the vet bill for the injured dog.
- Penalty charges. We do not nickel and dime our clients when it comes to taking care of our dogs. For example, we do not charge for feeding or administering medication. However, we do impose penalty charges on avoidable circumstances, such as prepackaging meals, on-time pick-up, etc. Our goal is not to make more money on these, but to discourage these situations from happening, to help us keep our operation efficient so we can focus on dog care above all. These penalty charges (all of which are subject to tax) are:
- Checkout after closing time: $10. This fee applies as soon as we close, to help us maintain an orderly operation. Regardless of the fee, the latest we can wait for late parents is 15 minutes past closing time.
- Boarding late cancellations and no shows: Cancellations after 4pm on the check in date and no shows are all subject to a fee of $45.
- Not providing pre-portioned meals for boarding visits: $10/day
- Not labeling meals with dog's full name and what meal it is for: $3/meal
- Not settling an outstanding balance on an account after 3 attempts to contact: $20/month until the balance is settled
- Credit card dispute for a valid charge: $25
